Coverage & Availability Notice
Version 1.2 · Send a Drone, LLC
Informational. The binding terms are in Customer Terms of Service section 2.
What "covered" means
Send a Drone works through independent pilots. Each pilot serves an area around their own base. When you enter a property address, we check whether at least one eligible pilot's service area includes it.
- Covered area: a pilot serves the address. You review the price, complete the Mission Authorization and pay at checkout. The mission is offered to pilots once your payment succeeds and every required consent is in.
- Expanding (uncovered) area: no eligible pilot serves the address right now.
If your address is in an expanding area
- You can still submit the request. We don't collect a payment, and your card is never charged automatically.
- We record the request so we can see demand in that area. No pilot is dispatched.
- When an eligible pilot first covers the address, we email you one notice with a link. The link shows today's price, recalculated when you open it rather than taken from your first estimate. There you pick a date and a time window.
- Choosing Find a pilot is free. We ask eligible pilots to hold your request. Pilots see only the general area, never your street address.
- When a pilot accepts, they hold the job for up to 2 hours and we tell you. Only then can you pay. Paying locks the price and assigns that pilot, subject to the consents your Mission Authorization requires. If you do nothing, you're not charged and the hold lapses.
- You're not charged, and your request goes back to waiting for coverage, if no pilot accepts within 24 hours or a hold lapses before you pay.
Submitting a request doesn't guarantee that service will become available for that address, on your requested date, or at all. The price shown for an expanding-area request is only an estimate. Your request stays on file until you cancel it.
We won't resend the coverage notice for the same request within 14 days, unless coverage was lost for 7 or more days and then came back, or you asked us to notify you again. You can stop coverage emails for a request at any time from its review page. If you have an account, notices also appear in your dashboard.
Availability in covered areas
Each pilot's service area is the radius they declare; there's no platform-wide distance limit. Coverage means a pilot can serve the address. It doesn't guarantee a flight at a particular time, or assignment by a particular date. Requested dates are targets. Flights can be delayed or rescheduled for consent timing, weather, airspace restrictions, safety or site access, as the Cancellation, Refund & Recapture Policy describes. If we can't provide the service you paid for, we cancel the mission and refund the full amount.
